Welcome to The Bays education site 'eLearn', also known as (Moodle)

The Bays Healthcare Group is committed to providing employee training to minimise risk to health and safety for staff, patients and visitors. Continuing professional development is necessary for nurses and midwives to keep up to date with the rapidly changing health care environment. It is an expectation that all staff complete minimum training requirements and are involved in ongoing education and professional development.

This site is designed to be accessed by all staff of The Bays Group. This education has been developed to encompass all mandatory training, as well as other training that may be pertinent to your role.

ALL Staff = Clinical & Non-Clinical staff must complete:

MANDATORY ALL, eg: Occupational Violence and Aggression training (*every 3-years), Child Safety Training (*every 2-years), Open Disclosure (once only on commencement), Infection Control (once only on commencement).

Emergency Response (ERT), Manual Handling Quiz and Hand Hygiene are all ANNUAL requirements for all.

Clinical staff = Must also complete BLS quiz & prac (annual), Medsafety via NPS MedWise (annual), Bloodsafe CTP (Biennial), Falls (Biennial), Antimicrobial (Biennial) and Aseptic Technique (Biennial).

Non Clinical staff = Must also complete:

Catering = Food Safety Annual requirement.

Enviro (ES) = Chemical Training Annual requirement.

A certificate will be issued on completion and will automatically be sent to the education team.
